It's something you don't see very often. Farmers harvesting in the month of November.
KEVIN ANDERSON/Farmer
"It's something I hadn't planned on doing (harvesting in November). But I guess if it's got to be done, it's got to be done, right?"
The cold and wet summer has delayed most crops throughout the province. Only 80% of them are completed.
GRANT MCLEAN/Provincial Department of Agriculture
"I think last year we had the majority of the crop off at this time. And this has been an ususual year right from the start."
KEVIN ANDERSON/Farmer
"The weather's been so wet for the last three weeks, a guy can't really do nothing."
Finally, there is some good news. The recent dry weather means many farmers are able to get their combines back into their fields.
GRANT MCLEAN/Provincial Department of Agriculture
"Most producers are taking advantage of these sunny, clear conditions this past week, and getting harvesting done where they can."
KEVIN ANDERSON/Farmer
"As long as the temperature doesn't get too cold at night, and we get some sunshine and some wind throughout the day, then we should be good to go."
Ryan Pilon/CTV News
"Not all farmers have benefitted from dry weather. There are still wet conditions in the northern part of the province. But above normal dry conditions could help them at least get a little more in the bin before the snow flies permanently. Ryan Pilon, CTV News, Regina."
