CHRIS HENDERSON: Follow the Signs
CHRIS HENDERSON: Follow the Signs

"In September 2007, Chris traveled to Nashville to record his debut full-length album. Full of talent, top production and genuine Saskatchewan country, the album is a sure-fire hit. Chris' edgy style and wide vocal range shine through on each of the album's upbeat and catchy songs. His first single, "You Don't Scare Me", was released to Canadian country radio in September 2008."

Produced by: Sean Hogan. Recorded at: Grand & Gee Music Group (Nashville TN) and B-Rad Studios (Regina). More info: www.chrishendersonmusic.com

DONNA HAY: Torch Songs
DONNA HAY: Torch Songs

"Well-known jazz standards ("The Very Thought of You", "Summertime", "Come Rain or Come Shine") with smooth and sultry vocals to set just the right mood. Produced by talented arranger/producer BJ Harris, the album features the exceptional talents of Bobby Klassen (saxophone), Kenny Marco (guitar), Barrie Redford (flugelhorn), and Wes Froese (keyboard). Key style influences are Peggy Lee, Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughan. Torch Songs is a debut album; it's music that is relaxing and elegantly simple."

Produced by: BJ Harris (Saskatoon). More info: www.cdbaby.com/cd/donnahay

ULTIMATE POWER DUO: New Normal
ULTIMATE POWER DUO: New Normal

"Saskatoon's rock maestros serve notice that their notoriously big sound is bigger than ever...a darker vibe than previous outings, digging into disturbing modern realities like poisoned cereal, religious confusion, border crossing paranoia and school shootings. These crushing new aural and lyrical dimensions are in evidence on each track, from the driving hooks and chronological displacement of "Jack The Space/Time Continuum Ripper" to the danceably-smart machine-gun delivery of "Noam Disco".

Produced by: David j Taylor. Recorded at: PM Studios (Saskatoon). More info: www.ultimatepowerduo.com

YOUNG JAMES: self-titled
YOUNG JAMES: self-titled

This ten-song collection has received acclaim from local arts press and radio. "Their first full-length recording blurs the line between pop hooks and country-influenced folk/rock of the 1970s. The band blends soaring harmonies with distinct prairie sounds and imagery." "The band took a true homegrown approach to the making of the album by producing, recording and mastering everything themselves."

Produced by: T.C Young and Davy James. Recorded at: The Home Quarters Studio (Saskatoon). More info: www.myspace.com/youngjamesmusic

KYLE RIABKO: The Parkdale Sessions
KYLE RIABKO: The Parkdale Sessions

"This new rock/pop album from the singer/songwriter features ten tracks, and is named after the Toronto apartment where he recorded most of the record. It was released during his stint as Melchior in the Tony-award winning play, Spring Awakening. This album features Kyle's take on two songs from that play, "Left Behind" and "The Guilty Ones", in addition to six other new tracks and the favourite, "Song for Amanda."

Produced by: Kyle Riabko and Scott Jacoby. Recorded at: home. More info: www.kyleriabko.com
